CCLA enters UK retail market with launch of the Better World Global Equity Fund
In April 2022, the CCLA Better World Global Equity Fund was launched in response to demand from trustees and those working with our not-for-profit clients wishing to invest their own money in the sustainability strategies with which they have grown familiar.
Investment markets and our positioning
As with other long-term investors, CCLA’s multi-asset portfolios have seen significant falls in capital value over the calendar year to date. ‘Alternative’ assets such as commercial property and infrastructure have on balance delivered positive returns, but these have been outweighed by negative returns from the funds’ dominant equities component.
EIRIS Foundation Report
Having supported the original report in 2013, we have again assisted the EIRIS Foundation in creating an overview of the responsible investment policies adopted by charity specialist funds. The report outlines the policies of charity-specific pooled funds in the UK, representing approximately £19.4 billion of charity investments.
